Scientific Name: Myzomela rosenbergii

This boldly coloured little honeyeater is an inhabitant of the high montane moss forest and alpine shrubland of New Guinea and Goodenough Island.
The ferns and beard lichen illustrated here are from my own photos taken in this unique habitat.
